The Blue Crab Festival is a
combination of arts, crafts and of course, food. Not just seafood either; they
cater to everyone by offering things like pizza and tenderloin in addition to
the typical fare of finely prepared sea creatures. After eating, you and the
crabs can dance the days away with live entertainment ranging from jazz to
bluegrass to gospel.
You'll find arts and crafts,
such as baskets, sculpture, carvings, decoys, stained glass, jewelry, wearable
art, wood works, pottery, fine art and much more.
A special children's area
hosts games, face painting, a petting zoo, a mime, children karate
demonstrations and more.
It wouldn't be a party without
music, and at the Blue Crab Festival you hear everything from Gospel to Country
to Beach & Rock & Roll.
The Blue Crab Festival is
Little River's main claim to fame, and the little village doesn't hold back...
this is one festival that you'll come back to year after year!
More than 40,000 attendees are
expected to attend this year's Blue Crab Festival that will feature more than
250 arts and crafts vendors, 30 food vendors, and upwards of 100 local
businesses that will advertise and display their products to both local
residents and visitors to the Grand Strand of South Carolina.
